To celebrate the last day of Chinese New Year, and today's full moon, I made some tong yuen (little balls of glutinous rice flour and water). I served them with peach syrup. They were tasty, but came out quite a bit tougher than the ones my MIL made when she taught me. Oh well- I guess that means I just need to try again. Yum!
Today, I made a huge batch of chili. Half was for us, and half went to an ill friend for dinner. And since chili isn't that photogenic....you'll just have to take my word for it. Heh. Cheers! ~Aunt LoLo
Yes, it took about 5 minutes....but it was totally worth it! My new favorite lounge pants just got a 4" chop, and now I can wear them out without stepping on them. Woohoo!
